I accept a limited number of insurance plans. If you are wanting to use insurance, please verify with your insurer that I am in-network for you. If I am not, you can opt to use out of network benefits (if that is a part of your plan) or not. There are some advantages to not using your insurance for psychotherapy. (Please note: most insurers have a high out of network deductible, which is separate from your in-network deductible. Therefore, if you use are using out of network benefits, you are likely to incur a high cost prior to your insurer reimbursing you for our work together.)
If I am in-network for your plan, I shall submit claims for you. If I am in-network for your plan, I collect co-pays and deductible amounts once the insurance claim has been processed. If you are self-pay or using out of network benefits, I collect fees at time of service. You can pay by cash, check, or credit card.
If you do not have, or opt not to use insurance, the fee is $120 per 45 minute session and $150 per 60 minute session and $200 per 90 minute session. I am aware that everyone’s financial circumstances are different, and this fee does slide down for those clients who are not able to pay the full fee. We can discuss your financial circumstances and fee prior to or during the initial meeting.
I do not charge for brief phone or email contacts, or for completing paperwork or records requests.
It can be challenging to provide a good faith estimate of what you might expect to pay over a course of treatment. One way to get a sense of what you might pay is to multiply your session cost by the number of sessions you expect to have. In general, most of my patients tend to have between 30 and 50 sessions per year.
