I have practiced as a licensed psychologist since 1998. My education and supervised training have prepared me to work with adults and children presenting with a variety of diagnoses and concerns. I provide individual, couples, and family therapy.
I graduated summa cum laude from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA in spring 1992 with a BA in psychology. In the fall of 1992 I began my graduate studies in clinical psychology at Widener University’s Institute for Graduate Clinical Psychology in Chester, PA. I graduated with a Doctorate in Psychology from Widener in 1997. Along the way I gained extensive supervised internship experience and training with adult outpatient and inpatient clients, children and adolescents in foster care, and families.
After graduation I started working as a post-doctoral intern at Assessment and Treatment Alternatives in Philadelphia, PA. I remained there until 2002. In that setting I evaluated and treated children and adolescents who had come to the attention of the Department of Human Services because of suspected abuse and/or neglect. Many of these young people had a history of complex trauma and typically exhibited serious behavioral problems. I also worked with their foster, adoptive, and birth families. I was licensed as a psychologist by the state of PA in 1998.
From 2002 until 2008, I maintained a solo practice in Allentown, PA, continuing to work with children, adolescents, and adults. In this setting, I worked with individual adults for a variety of presenting concerns, including adult Autism Spectrum Disorder, adult ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression and Bipolar Disorder. I also assessed and treated a wide variety of child and adolescent concerns, including ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorders, trauma, and anxious and depressive disorders.
I moved to Chicago in the later part of 2008. I was licensed as a clinical psychologist by the state Illinois in November 2008. I maintained a solo practice in Evanston, IL from 2009 until 2019, again working with a wide variety of child and adult individual clients, as well as couples and families.
In 2019, my wife and I decided to move west once again, this time to the Western Slope of Colorado. I was licensed as a psychologist by the state of Colorado in 2019. From June of 2019 until January 2021, I worked full-time as the Integrated Behavioral Health Consultant at Mountain Medical Center in Ridgway. I have worked with the clinic’s patients on a variety of matters, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relational concerns, substance misuse, insomnia, smoking cessation, and healthy lifestyle changes pertaining to medical conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.
I currently maintain a private practice in Montrose.
